The Esperanza Health Center Health Services Clinic (ECHC) is in search of volunteers to help provide medical, dental and mental health services to uninsured immigrants in the metropolitan Baltimore region who do not qualify for government-sponsored health insurance.
Details for prospective volunteer providers:
- Bilingual or Spanish fluency preferred, not mandatory
- Must have a valid license to practice in Maryland
- Willing to be trained in epic, our electronic medical system
- Willing to commit at least 10 hours a month for at least one year
As we are a free clinic, our medical and dental providers will be credentialed and covered for medical malpractice liability through the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) before they start. We handle that process.
Normal clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 9 to 4 p.m., but these may be flexible depending on feedback from interested providers.
