Thank you to everyone who attended the 2024 DOM Clinical and Education Retreat. We'd like to say a special thank you to Dr. Thomas Lee, our keynote speaker, who gave an engaging talk entitled, "Improving Care by Building Social Capital" and discussed ways in which each of us can promote positive change.
Following the keynote, was a panel discussion entitled "Trust in Healthcare" where the audience and moderator Dr. Amteshwar Singh asked real life questions about caring for patients to our panel of experts featuring Dr. Natasha Chida, Dr. Erica Johnson and Dr. Corey Tapper.
The teaching competition featured multiple "bite-sized" presentations from DOM residents and fellows. We'd like to extend a huge congratulations to Dr. Carolina Lopez-Silva for winning the teaching competition in her intern year. We'd also like to congratulate Dr. Ashley Gordon-Philips and Dr. Dana Goplerud who received honorable mentions.
Finally, the retreat featured Case Problem Solving where Dr. John Woller tested the internist skills of Dr. Gail Berkenblit and Dr. Khalil Ghanem while they attempted to solve a clinical case in-action.
