Last week, U.S. Reps Dave Trone of Maryland’s 6th District and Susan Wild of Pennsylvania’s 7th District toured the Johns Hopkins Bayview Comprehensive Care Practice and Emergency Department with Michael Fingerhood, associate professor in the Division of Chemical Dependence. They met with providers, peer recovery coaches and Health Leads volunteers.
Congressman Trone is one of the founders of the Freshman Working Group on Addiction, a bipartisan group of over 40 newly-elected lawmakers who are working to promote policies to end the addiction crisis. He and Rep. Wild held a press conference after the visit.
