Thomas Smith, professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, was named the 2019 recipient of the Project on Death in America (PDIA) Palliative Medicine National Leadership Award from the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. This award recognizes a physician leader who has advanced the field of palliative care by the education of the next generation of palliative care leaders.
