Expanding Article of the Week to Articles of the Week

Beginning this week, we will expand the number of papers we feature every week for Article of the Week. I think there are many benefits of sharing the research findings of our hard-working researchers—such as giving investigative teams the accolades they deserve, inspiring collaboration and review between labs and divisions and encouraging more impactful research. Sharing more papers each week will help us accomplish these goals.

As much as we would like to share everyone’s research on the blog, the vast number of scientists and studies in our large department makes it difficult. As such, we have a few criteria to guide the selection of papers for Articles of the Week. If your paper meets the following criteria, please email a link to [email protected] to be added to the queue for Article of the Week.

Criteria:

  • A member of the Department of Medicine is first or last author
  • It contains original research
  • It is impactful and of broad interest; generally, we will select papers published in a journal with an impact factor of 9 or greater

If your paper does not meet the above criteria, but you would like help publicizing it, we would be happy to share it on our DOM Twitter page (@johnshopkinsDOM). Please send the link to the paper as well as a caption up to 280 characters to [email protected], and be sure to include your Twitter handle so we can tag you.
