Dr. Bernard Jaar, assistant professor in the Division of Nephrology, was named the recipient of the C. Lockard Conley Award from the Maryland Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Conley was a prolific researcher and clinician, but foremost an unparalleled educator. This prestigious award is given to those who have made significant contributions to resident clinical care, education and research. Dr. Jaar is an outstanding clinical nephrologist, skilled investigator in the epidemiology of nephrology, recognized mentor to residents and educator of not just concepts of nephrology but also of compassionate patient-centered care. He was recognized at annual ceremony earlier this month.
