Each year, JHM Health Safety & Environment surveys the laboratories in the DOM for compliance with the Johns Hopkins University Safety Manual, Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories, Environmental Protection Agency, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Public Health Service, Health and Human Services and United States Department of Agriculture regulations. This year, surveys were conducted in 473 labs, and the DOM was found to be 100 percent compliant, one of the best results to date. We'd like to say a huge thank you to Richard Robinson, facilities project manager, and Jacqueline Christopher, facilities project specialist, as well as all of the laboratory faculty and staff who made this possible.
