Dr. Roger Blumental, professor in the Division of Cardiology, was named the recipient of the 2026 Council on Clinical Cardiology Distinguished Achievement Award from the American Heart Association (AHA). This award recognizes individuals who have made major contributions to the affairs of a scientific council over a continuing period, and who have made substantial professional contributions to the field represented by the council. He will be recognized at the AHA's 2026 Scientific Sessions in Chicago in November.
