Beginning Wednesday, April 29 we will present a new feature to Medicine Matters that will highlight the successes and breadth of scientific achievements within the Department of Medicine.
The Article of the Week will create a forum that aims to:
- Recognize and congratulate members of our department on the culmination of much hard work
- Connect scientists with similar interests and find opportunities for collaboration
- Highlight collaborative and team-based science
- Educate the DOM on scientific advances happening here
Our department has an outstanding research portfolio that includes about $175 million of annual research activity; 75 percent of which is funded by the federal government. In the past three years, 95 of our principle investigators have been awarded $1 million in research funding and 324 faculty members have received awards as principle investigators of their projects.
Please look for the Article of the Week each Wednesday and help us make this effort a success by submitting important publications from faculty, staff, fellows and residents to [email protected].
