Town Hall Meeting to Discuss Important Changes in the ICTR Clinical Research Units (former GCRC)

There will be an Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) town hall meeting on Wednesday, January 20 from 4-5 p.m. in Hurd Hall (with a live broadcast to Carroll Auditorium at Bayview) to discuss important upcoming changes in the ICTR support of clinical studies performed in the Clinical Research Units (CRUs) on both the East Baltimore and Bayview Medical Campuses. The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) which supports the ICTR CRUs through its Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Program, announced last year that direct support of CRUs will not be allowed for any new or re-competing CTSA awards. The CRUs have been a major source of support for investigators throughout Johns Hopkins and this change in policy will have a significant impact on our future ICTR operations. All interested faculty members and staff are encouraged to attend.
