Mary Catherine Beach, professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine, received the 22nd Annual George Engel Award for Outstanding Research Contributing to the Theory, Practice and Teaching of Effective Health Care Communication and Related Skills from the Academy of Communication in Healthcare. She was presented the award at the 2017 International Conference on Communication in Healthcare (ICCH) earlier this month.
