The event, entitled The Responsible Management of Data for the Basic Sciences, will feature presentations by Randy Reed, PhD, assistant dean for research, co-director of the Center for Sensory Biology and professor of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Neuroscience and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery; and Anne Seymour, MS, director of the William H. Welch Medical Library and assistant professor of Health Sciences Informatics. Dr. Reed will discuss the need and approaches for improved data management/handling in the basic sciences and Ms. Seymour will discuss the resources available through the library to help researchers in the basic sciences responsibly manage/handle their data and conduct their research.
