Research Participant Recruitment & Retention Conference

The Research Participant Community Partnership Core of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Clinical and Translational Research is hosting a conference, “Research Participant Recruitment & Retention: What is Working Across the Nation?” on Friday, September 9, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, 525 N. Wolfe Street, Baltimore, MD 21205. Nationwide and local research professionals, various stakeholders and study team members are encouraged to attend. This year’s conference focuses on best practices and innovative strategies for research participant recruitment.

The conference will showcase the following:

  • Best practices and novel strategies for participant recruitment and retention using case studies
  • Skill building sessions on social media recruitment and community-engaged recruitment strategies
  • Poster presentations displaying successful approaches, best practices, case studies or problem solving techniques

The conference fee is $250 and tuition remission is accepted for Johns Hopkins University (JHU) attendees. This workshop provides five contact hours and satisfies the requirements for CE credits for both SoCra and ACRP recertification. Certificates will be emailed seven days after the workshop.
